Critical Mass is a monthly cyclist meet up that is taking place in over 300 cities around the world. It has started as a mass protest in San Francisco in 1992. The idea behind the protest is for people to group together to make it safe for each other to ride bicycles through their streets, based on the old mantra: there's safety in numbers. A Critical Mass is a traf c jam on bikes – though often cheerier. Where usually motor vehicles have right of way, taking space away from those who want to walk or cycle, during a Critical Mass bikes take the priority and the space back from the motor traf c. In this project, I took inspiration and motifs from the organic world and manipulated it into my own system of abstracts and aesthetics. This branding project was created during my studies in Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, in ‘Graphic Extreme’ course.
